Yeshua (Jesus) is the corner stone.

Eph.2:20  Having-been-built-up on the foundation of-the apostles and prophets, Messiah Jesus being chief-corner of-it,

Prophecy:

Isa 28:16 "therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner -[stone] of sure foundation: he that believeth shall not be in haste."

[IF you read the surrounding context of Isaiah 28 1peter 2:6 Eph. 2:20, may you have ears to hear and eyes to see the "New Covenant".  I may expand this note to illustrate this.]

 Prophecy fulfilled in Jesus/Yeshua:

1Peter2:6 "is a quote from Isaiah 28:16

v6 For-the-reason-that it contains in scripture; Behold I-place in Zion (a) chosen, chief-corner, honoured stone, and the (one) trusting on it he by-no-means might-be-disgraced."

Prophecy:

Psalm 118:22 - "The stone the builders refused is become the head (stone) of the corner. This is Yahweh's doing; it is marvelous in our eyes."

Prophecy fullfilled in Jesus/Yeshua:

1Peter2:7 " To-YOU, therefore, (is) the honor, to-the (ones) trusting; but to disobeying (ones) (a) stone which the (ones) building rejected, this was-become with-reference-to (a) head of-a-corner

v8 And (a) stone of-stumbling and (a) rock of entrapment; the (ones) disobeying are-stumbling at-the word,"

"Stone" in Hebrew (Isa.28:16) is written aleph אֶ - bet  בֶ -nun  ן.

Hebrew reads from right to left so the word looks like this:    אֶבֶן

This is pronounced "eh-vehn" or "ebehn".  These THREE letters are represented in the Hebrew words for father and son:

"Father" - from aleph-bet   אב  and

"son" from bet-nun .  בן

Yeshua (Jesus) plainly spelled this out:  "I and the Father are one" John 10:30.

Wow - Echad!  In other words, in the Corner Stone, the same Foundation Stone, that is Jesus/Yeshua, you have the UNITY/EQUALITY of the YHVH(Father) and YHVH(Son).

Praise Yahweh!

1 Peter 2:8 (ASV1901)-"a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence; for they stumble at the Word, being disobedient; wereunto also they were appointed"

"Word" here is from the Greek "logos"   λόγος

John 1:vs1, vs14 - The Word is Yeshua/Jesus

v1 The Word (logos) was in (the) beginning, and the Word (logos) was with the God, and the Word (logos) was God.

v14 And the Word (logos) came-to-be flesh, and he-tabernacled among us, and we-beheld his glory, glory as of-(an) only-begotten from (the) Father full of-favor and truth.

Don't stumble when you discover YESHUA IS YAHWEH! (Jesus is Jehovah)

1Peter2:6 is a quote from Isaiah 28:16

v6 For-the-reason-that it contains in scripture; Behold I-place in Zion (a) chosen, chief-corner, honoured stone, and the (one) trusting on it he by-no-means might-be-disgraced."

The foundation/corner stone as "it"?  "It" requires you to look at the STONE, which is  Yahweh-Father and Yahweh-Son, and the one trusting on this UNITY/Echad/oneness will not be disgraced.  In Philippians the Greek text shows this unity:

*Philippians 2:10-11 "In-order-that in the name of-Jesus every knee might-bend of-(those)-in-(the)-heavenly and of-(those)-earthly and of-(those)-subterranean,

v11 And every tongue might-acknowledge that Jesus Messiah (is) Jehovah with-reference-to glory of-God (the) Father,"

footnotes:

*[This is one of those wonderful things that comes out of the Greek - AND a literal consistent translation: Y'shua IS YHVH.  ALL of my translations, save one, miss this throughout the New Testament.  In this "missing the mark", Yeshua is not esteemed as He should be, and many stumble.

The Greek text is:  καὶ πᾶσα γλῶσσα ἐξομολογήσηται ὅτι κύριος Ἰησοῦς Χριστὸς εἰς δόξαν θεοῦ πατρός

κύριος Ἰησοῦς Χριστὸς

-transliteration:  kurios iasous christos

Translation: YHVH Yeshua Messiah (or Jehovah Jesus Christ/Messiah)

There is no indefinite article "a" in Greek, only the definite article "the"- no definite article in front of kurios, so kurios is translated "Jehovah".  This follows the Septuagint use of the article and kurios.]
