March 28 sidwalk pour.

Chad designed this.  Note the side towards the building is higher; this, along with the curve, creates drainage for the water that comes off the roof.  Now it is channeled along the sidewalk to the parking lot drains, instead of draining across the area between the two buildings. So there you have an added functional value.  What's not to like?

It was a chilly day.  A lot of guys just showed up - at the right time - to help Chad.  They are all busy already but that's the way it is a CDOT.

Above right, Front to back; Harold Moore, Chad (on his knees), Jim Diorio, Rich Babb, James Schwab.

I'll check that spelling someday.

Below, right; Dan Haberman.

Above, David Valdez on the left.  David and Jamie kept the wheelbarrows moving.

You can't have too much help!

Also, not shown, Todd Ausman from engineering gave us a hand.  [Thanks Todd. Crappy wheelbarrow anyway.]

As quick as they showed up, when the work was done, all those guys vanished - poof!    Kinda spooky.

Thanks to everyone for somehow finding time to stop by and help.

Just as the sidewalk pour finished up, my nephew, Andrew Heckard, showed up.  Andy is a stone mason, and he made a pretty joint between the top and bottom rock.  Andy lives in Longmont and drove down to Pueblo to do this. Thanks Andy!

March 28, afternoon.

Chad & I came in the next day, a scheduled day off...we donated some more time

.  Chad cut joints in the concrete & I finished the joint by cleaning off extra morar.

We put a tarp over the sidewalk for the night.

I think our deadline was April 8.  Getting closer...
